Road Test Fees

Road Test — $65

Includes up to 3 road test attempts.

School Vehicle Rental — $60 per attempt

If you choose to use a school vehicle, the rental fee is $60 each time the vehicle is used for a road test.

First attempt with a school vehicle: $125 total
Second attempt with a school vehicle: $60 rental
Third attempt with a school vehicle: $60 rental

Road Test — Adults 18+

Please bring:

  • Valid Texas learner license or provisional driver license

  • Valid Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD) Certificate

  • Adults ages 18–24: copy of the 6-hour Adult Driver Education Course Certificate

If using your own vehicle: valid vehicle insurance

The Impact Texas certificate is not the same as your driver education class certificate.

Road Test — Minors

Please bring:

  • Valid learner permit

  • Certificate marked “For Driver License Only”

  • Completed 30-Hour Practice Log

  • Valid Verification of Enrollment (VOE)

  • Valid Impact Texas Young Drivers (ITYD) Certificate

  • Parent or legal guardian present to sign the required documents

Teen Driver Education Students from Our School

If you completed your Teen Driver Education Program with us, your road test is included in your program when taken during the first eligible month shown on your learner permit.

If the road test is taken after that first eligible month, the regular road test fee applies.

Impact Texas Certificate

A valid, unexpired Impact Texas certificate is required for your road test.

Adult drivers: Impact Texas Adult Drivers (ITAD)

Teen drivers: Impact Texas Young Drivers (ITYD)

This is not the same as your driver education class certificate
